Elevator Constructors

Elevator Constructors assemble, install and replace elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, moving walkways, platform lifts, stairway chair lifts, material lifts, and automatic transfer devices and similar equipment in new and old buildings. Working conditions involve heights, exposed electrical contact, and moving sheaves and cables.

JOURNEYMAN’S WAGE*

$54.00/hr

*based on local prevailing wage

Apprenticeship Information: Four-year program with a minimum of 144 classroom and 1700 on-the-job training hours per year.

Wages and Benefits: Apprentices start at approximately $29.99 per hour with annual increases to Journeyworker wage. Health & Welfare, Pension & Annuity.
